Good evening, Just a bit of an update from what your South officers have been doing this weekend
Whilst on patrol in the Cog Lane, Rosegrove and Dunnockshaw areas vehicles were stopped for a variety of reasons including:
No insuranceExcess speed through residential streetsNo lights on during torrential down pour at nightHaving an indicator out then failing to notice a police car with blue lights onRiding an E-Scooter through officers stopped with another vehicleAs such 3 people have been issued Section 59 warnings, 1 reported to court and one walked home as we took his scooter Please remember the following Drive safely, use headlights appropriately and remember to use mirrorsCheck your vehicle is road worthy, insured and taxedE-scooters are NOT legal to be used on a road, including footpathFor more information you can visit the Lancashire Police website With thanks,
